Until recently gif images that I download do not appear on my harddrive every time i try to open them it says "no preview avaliable", this is a concern to me because some of these gif images i was planning on putting up on my affiliate site , what do i do to fix this? until recently i could see gif images on my computer but all of a sudden i cant and i cant recall doing nything wrong to my computer for this to happen
please help

Hello Tyler.

Not sure how it happened, but here's an idea that should solve it...

1. Highlight one of the gif image icons, then hold down <shift> while RIGHT clicking the icon.

2. Choose "open with" from the menu.

3. Choose the application you wish to view gifs with from the list.

4. Tick (check) the "always use this program to open this type of file box".

From now on, gifs should always be viewable.

Note: this works on Win 95, so if you have a newer OS you might get slightly different messages, but I dare bet the method will be more or less the same.

what do you normally view them in?
Photoshop, Paint Shop Pro etc?

with "windows picture fax viewer", but i figured out the problem already, the gif images i was trying to view were currupt, but thanks for the help anyway
