Hi,

Everytime I apply for a program at CJ, they always say I have to wait untill the company aproves me. Well I have applied to 3, and all have declined. Why? Doesn't make any sense.

Thanks,

Cody

it will be down to your site itself,
you could try contacting the merchant themselves to find out why or apply to more porgrams Smile

      Post subject: CJ Policy Change

Commission Junction, who I recommend highly as a source of quality merchants, has made a policy change that affects all affiliates who reside outside the U.S.

The Internal Revenue Service of the United States (IRS) now requires that CJ report on the revenues sent to all companies and individuals not located in the U.S. therefore, CJ is now requiring all new publishers to fill out tax forms.

So, Canadians (and others) now need to provide CJ with either a W8 form (see below) or if one intends on conducting business in the U.S., a bona fide U.S. Social Security Number or Taxpayers Identification Number (EIN) when applying or your application will be rejected. This ruling applies also to those who already had a CJ membership before this new ruling. In this case, commissions earned will be held.

Fortunately, filing a W8 is simple and getting a Taxpayers Identification Number (EIN) has been made relatively easy, costs nothing, but can take up to 6 weeks to obtain.

Official IRS site: http://www.irs.gov

The page below explains the EIN application process, which simply involves downloading an SS-4 form and faxing it back to them.

Get details here:

Here is the downloadable W8 form and instructions:

If you have no legal residence, principal place of business, or principal office or agency in any state contact:
