why could'nt overture keep there minimum bids at 5 cents a click? this really upsets me this is the second time they change the minimum, and 10 cents just seems like a little to much

If overture gets enough emails from there customers telling them to lower the price back to 5 cents, would they?

c'mon whos with me?!?!?!

Not to stray off topic, but I'd love to hear a comparison of Overture and AdWords from those of you that have tested/used both...

Hi Franky,

Oh for a reversal of time back to the days of GoTo and 1c a click!

But I really think it's Overbid's policy to go after the business of the Big Dogs, they do not seem to be newbie, or small guy friendly('Sad')

Would an email campaign work? I have my doubts, they seem to be doing very nicely from the bigger advertisers.

Just my thoughts.

All the best,
Larry Chamberlain.

Take advantage of the $.10 deal while you can, there are rumors they are going up to $.15!!

Why would they do this? Because they can and people will gladly pay it. Well, maybe not gladly, but they will pay it.

I've been using Overture for about 3 years and Google for around 2. Here are my thoughts about the 2.

Overture:

CONS

1) Overture is overpriced, 10 cents is just too much in my opinion. 5 cents was a good middle point between Overture and the advertiser. Those days are gone... Sad
2) Overture is way too focused on the money making aspect of the CPC business and are in danger of forgetting about the advertiser. They have improved in resent months by adding new tools for advertisers such as: broad match.
3) Hard to get keywords through which wastes tons of time.

PROS

1) Customer service is awesome. Much improved.
2) Lots of traffic

Google:

PROS

1) Traffic is less expensive than Overture
2) Almost instant approval of your ads
3) Ability to bid on broader keywords than on Overture
4) Traffic is of higher quality (This is based on conversions I've seen on the same keywords). On Google one can get less traffic on a campaign than Overture, but get more sales.
5) Customer service rivals Overture

Conclusion: If I were going to pick only one CPC company it would have to be Google Ad Sense. The price, the ease of use, they don't leave a bad taste in my month like Overture has using them over the years.
