I have a website (link is below) and I want to add a drop ship autoresponse course.
Basically, it would explain what drop shipping is, how to benefit from it, how to get started, how to market and how to follow up on sales, as well as a few other things... such as SBI! to create your website, and a directory of drop shippers, and other tools (not necessary, but nice) to get going...
I think each lesson will be between 1 and 3 pages, depending on the lesson.
Maybe the number of lessons should depend on how much you have to tell your subscribers. If you keep giving people information they want, they'll keep reading!
It depends what action you want the readers to take. If you're offering tips, I'd go for one per day. If they have a lot to do (or take in) space them out a little more. Having said that, why not ask people what schedule they'd like? Set up two autoresponders to deliver the same content on different schedules, and give people the option to choose. At the end of the day, you might please more people this way.
A third option (which I haven't tried) would be to set each lesson on it's own simple autoresponder. Then let people request the next lesson from the end of the one they are on. This might be the best way of accommodating different tastes. If you bore or drown people with info, they will not take action.
The only thing to watch, is if people stop the series at a certain point. Make sure you lead into the next issue strongly. If one message is breaking the chain, rewrite it and retest.
Also, what happens when the lessons are finished? I'd say this would classify as establishing a relationship - that is, it would be fair to follow up with a "what did you think/anything I can do?" email a week after the series (proper) ended. Use your imagination to maintain on-going contact with as many of these subscribers as you can, even after the course is over. On-going contact is the key. Don't let anyone drop by the wayside unless they specifically ask you not to contact them anymore.
Hope this gives you some ideas,
Charlie. _________________ "Before I speak, I have something important to say."

The split autoresponder is not something I had considered before. I think I will go with that approach for now.
Obviously, my ultimate goal is to get people to buy, but the goal of the autoresponder is to give a decent education on how to go about drop shipping. From start (deciding what to sell) to finish (following up on the order with the customer).
I plan on keeping in contact with as many people as I can after the course ends. Little ideas about boosting sales, and some free drop shippers and other resources. I think I can handle that portion pretty easily...
