What is the effect of dashes in a domain name?
For example, which works better?
www.gotlinks.com (or) www.got-links.com
Do dashes have any adverse affect?
Thanks! |

There are extensive threads covering the use of dashes, underscores, and running words together, but the basic is SE's can't read words run together.

So using dashes could result in better optimization. Thanks!
As for the extensive threads, I did a search using the word "dashes", but only got 4 threads that didn't seem to apply. It's probably my fault as I am new to this forum. Thanks for your patience.

I think they were referred to as "hyphens" so that may bring better results.

Works much better when you use the correct eyword. As I said before, thanks for your patience.
