Hi folks, I don't know which thread to post it so I hope this is the
right one, if not, please forgive me.
I'm a newbie here and have learned a great deal just by going through
many threads.
But I stumbled across a website that talks about this new breakthrough
technique called Power Linking by Jack Humphrey.
I'm thinking of buying it but I want to get some feedback from other
members.
Have you heard of it? have you bought it? if so
Please, can you give me any feedback, possitive or negative.

I bought and read this eBook. It is good, but it's not really a "breakthrough technique" in linking. It is simply an overview of the best linking techniques out there, such as having your own link directory, submitting articles to Web sites, participating in forums and including your URL in your signature, giving free stuff on your Web site, and a few others.
It also talks about how to build a site with link popularity in mind. For example, it mentions that you should have good content (fairly obvious to most people in this forum), and that you should make it easy for other webmasters to contact you regarding a link exchange.
It does have a few "trick" linking strategies, but nothing useful enough to be considered a breakthrough in my opinion.
Overall, it's a good read. It will be very useful if you are new to internet marketing. If you're not, you might pick up a few pointers here and there, but that's about it.
