I understand that a lot of affiliate registries won't list a three tiered affiliate program.. My question is to all of you as affiliates... Would you prefer to be in a two tiered or a three tiered program?
Thanks

Sorry for the double post. But look at how successful VMC satellite is in comparison to the other satellite affiliate programs. The main reason is that the program is 3 tiers versus 2.

Part of me likes to think that the more tiers the better, but experience (and feedback from bigger players) has taught me that anything past the first tier does not add much to the bottom line - as an affiliate, not mine anyway.
I think if you wanted to go past two tiers, you would have to be giving away the farm to really excite me.

I think the benefit to the merchant (due to increased branding thanks to emotionally inspired affiliates who still typically sell nothing) is a completely different thing from the success of the average affiliate himself.
Just my opinion,
Cheers,

I agree with Charlie on this one. Three tier doesn't excite me much... I'd rather go with two tier....
Since most affiliates do not really ever sell anything, the higher down the line they are from me, the less chance I have of working with them and helping them earn money... _________________ Eric D. Burdo

I'd rather 2 tier. The third tier just waters down the returns for a second tier. With that extra tier, you'll get lots of people signing up just to get other people to sign up... without accomplishing much. There's also a pyramid perception to anything with more than 2 tiers.
Two tier is the way to go. _________________ JP Sauve

Hi Shawn,
Would have to agree with the others on this one. Yes,
two-tier... IF it is an affiliate program you're speaking of. _________________ All The Best,
