if your site is related to leisure and entertainment niches you can include this option but never use the auto play sound option. Rather you can create a separate box like "surprise of the hour" and place a good song there from where users may like to play it. In this way it will make sense and add to the positive user experience.

This is the main thing about it. Music is not important for web site because every visitor come on your site according their requirement they don't think about you have a music on your site or not.

If you are a musician or sell music can help you have your music playing. I never heard the music on an e-commerce site, and this could cause your page to load slower, causing buyers to leave.
