Post subject: AdSense Impressions seem wrong

Ok, I have three sites with AdSense on them. All the same account.
Site 1 gets about 10 unique visitors a day. It is the site that originally was approved for AdSense.
Site 2 gets about 30 unique visitors a day.
Site 3 gets about 120 unique visitors a day.
My AdSense impressions seem to be pretty close to the Site 1 visitors... but nowhere near close to what Sites 1, 2 and 3 combine should be showing.
The adsense ads for Sites 2 and 3 are targeted, and not PSA's. Do I have to notify google that I put AdSense on Sites 2 and 3? _________________ Eric D. Burdo

No, you don't have to notify them. They will let you know if they don't like the sites you posted the code on.
If you have Adsense on most pages on those 3 sites, your impressions should be considerably higher than your unique visitor count. Your combined page views or page visits would be a more accurate reflection of what your Adsense impressions are. Now, they won't be perfect, could vary by as much as 20%, because of people with javascript turned off, older browsers, pages not completed loading, etc.
I would be more concerned with your uniques on site 1, and your Adsense impressions being close to that. It means your visitors aren't hanging around. Now if you are making money off Adsense on those pages, fine, but if not, then you need to see why you are losing visitors.

Eric,
From time to time, I have noticed a significant difference between the number of visitors to pages with AdSense ads and the number of impressions that are recorded.
The conventional explanations do not account for the wide significance from time to time. I finally decided just to forget about it and work on other things.
Perhaps if/when we ever get reporting by domain, a more detailed investigation can be completed.
