Post subject: PPC search-engine Link Exchange Program Opinions
|
|
|
Hi,
I was thinking of signing up to the Pay Per Click Search-engines affiliate programs so that I could generate genuine clicks to their advertisers' links and get paid per clicks.
But it is in my opinion that I should not display their search-boxes on my web-site because it does me more harm than good.
Because :
1. I lose my visitors to them.
2. My visitors will be more brand aware of them over me.
3. Those who use the search-boxes at first will finally stop searching via my web-site and will go direct to the search-engines and conduct searches there where I will not be rewarded for.
And so, for many reasons like these, I thought that it is better for me to run my own Pay Per Click Search-engine.
I know that no-one will advertise on mine at first because I will be new.
And if no-one advertises on mine then there will be no links to view.
And so, my search-engine will fail.
I have taken care of that.
I will at first provide free advertising to web-sites in return for them to use my search-engine first before they use any others.
Those who agree will get free advertising.
This way, I may succeed in acquiring new free advertisers and new loyal regular searchers.
Does anyone think my plan will work ?
Do you reckon web-sites will bother to list even though I offer them free advertising ?
And those who do list for free, do you reckon they will use my search-engine regularly before they use any others ?
I can drop a line to web-sites to link exchange.
I will list their links for free on my search-engine and they must put any of my variety of links on their own web-sites.
Do you think this plan will work ?
If so, then how much should I offer them for free ?
$10 ? $20 ? $50 ? $100 ?
When I drop web-sites a line to link exchange with me, do you reckon they will flame me ?
I read about web-sites link exchanging with each others with-out any complaints so I guess no one will complain.
If they want to link exchange with me then they'll accept my offer and if they don't accept it then I guess they will politely refuse.
But, assume that I dropped a line to the wrong guys who look for trouble.
Do you reckon they will complain to my web-host, isp, dns host and domain registrant ?
If so, do you reckon I will get trouble from these companies or do you reckon these companies will be understanding and consider my link exchange invitations to be ethical and above board ?
Any comments or suggestions ?
When I exchange links, do you reckon I should ask web-sites to display my search-box on their web-sites or do you reckon I should ask them to display links or maybe I should give them a choice to display what-ever they like from links to banners and popups and frames and search-boxes ?
Ok, let' assume that different web-sites agreed to display different things.
I think I should do this.....
For $10 free advertising, ask them to display one of my button/logo/image - links,
as-long as their link is still on my search-engine.
For $15 free advertising, ask them to display one of my banners,
as-long as their link is still on my search-engine.
For $20 free advertising, ask them to display one of my frames,
as-long as their link is still on my search-engine.
For $25 free advertising, ask them to display 5 of my text-links,
as-long as their link is still on my search-engine.
For $30 free advertising, ask them to display one of my delayed under popups (these will load 15 mins after the visitor has left the site),
as-long as their link is still on my search-engine.
For $35 free advertising, ask them to display one of my search-boxes,
as-long as their link is still on my search-engine.
None of the above have to use my search-engine.
But those who advertise their links but do not display any of the above on their web-sites then they must use my search-engine before they use any others.
Do you think if I make this policy then the my competitions will try to take me to court for getting people to sign contracts with me that they will use my PPC Search-engine before they use others in return for me giving them free advertising on my PPC Search-engine ?
Any searchers search number which falls below 10 searches per week, his/her link will be un-listed from my PPC Search-engine.
Do you reckon any of these plans will work for me to link exchange like this so my PPC Search-engine search-box and my links are displayed every-where on other peopls' web-sites ?
My aim is to influence as many webmasters as possible to display my text links, logos, images, banners, frames, popups and search-boxes so their visitors view and use these for me to get link popularity and clicks.
I have a list of around 5 million web-sites and I have a mind to invite them to link exchange.
How many do you reckon will respond in terms of percentage or numbers and which kind of link exchange will they be interested in do you suppose ?
I would appreciate if you can give me a rough idea like the following example :
Only 0.10% will respond. (5000).
1000 will accept text link exchange.
100 will accept to display search-box.
100 will agree to search your search-engine before using others but they won't display your links or search-boxes.
0 will agree to display popups or frames or logos or images or banners.
Infact, you will get flamed if you ask to display these.
Any suggestions ? |

wow, u have a very long post!
Try to address some ponit:
If u ask for link exchange, i think majority will use text link instead putting your search box due to branding, website strategy, and many other valid reasons...
The so-called free advertising seems like u give them a ppc account with $$ by default. But if yr site has no traffic at first, it is useless to other webmasters. So, i can't see it is an attractive deal.
I think u could try to a software that allows u to incoporate free listing from other search engines. So, even no one opens an account from u and you still have search result.
On the other hand, try to drive more traffic to your site through link exchnage, forming biz partners, submit to directory, optimize for search engines and uses other PPC ad and Google Adword.
To me, ppc search engines are too many in the fields and could cause some difficulties to you. But it is an exciting chanllenge! _________________ Download Reciprocal Link Exchange Software
