Post subject: Cloaking Affiliate Links...
|
|
|
Just wondering...
Has anyone ever uploaded an html page for the sole purpose of cloaking their affiliate links? I recently deleted several of these pages from my website because they were redirects that took visitors away from my site and I wasn't actively promoting these particular affiliate programs. There is a Google Webmaster video that says Google doesn't like cloaking and redirects. Nothing is mentioned specifically about affiliate links in the video, so I wasn't sure if they were talking about what I was doing or something else.
Any insights would be welcomed!
Kathy

Hi Kathy,
Can't say I have. I use WordPress and use free plugins to do the job for me. Either use "pretty link" my fav or "link cloaking plugin". They are installed easily straight from the WP Dashboard.
Good luck
