Post subject: Moving away from Blogger?

I've taken the first tentative steps to move away from blogger and have made enquiries about having a custom template designed.
I'm slightly concerned about what will happen to the custom domain that I bought through google. It was bought through blogger but I'd like to take it with me (obviously).
Anyone know how I'd go about pointing bloggers' custom domain to a completely new site? Or even taking the domain elsewhere completely?

I really don't think that you can entirely take the domain of Blogger to other site. But you can have other site and link back to your blogger blog OR If your blogger blog has good traffic, you can have a link back to your new blog on your site. OR You have say that "We are moved" on your blogger blog and ask your visitors to visit your new blog on your new site for more new blogs and latest updates...
