Sorry for my bad English ..
----------------------------------------------

Hi Guys, this is Tomas Loden over in Sweden

I found a post about ppc's on Phil Wileys affiliate talk forum
and I want to take it to this forum..

About PPCs

What difference does it make which ppc search engine someone found me on?

I mean why would i get tons of sales on Overture and zero on Findwhat, 7search and Goclick? Are the people different who use Findwhat, 7search and Goclick?

What is the difference between someone searching for
"dating services" at Overture or some other engine.
It's pretty obvious they are searching for the same thing.

- What's your take on this.

Thank you for your valuable time

/ Tomas Loden

If it's PPC it makes a huge difference.

Would you rather pay pennies for that visitor, or dollars? If you don't track your ads, you won't know how much a visitor costs you and that can make the difference between making money and losing your shirt.

Debs, I do track my ppc ads. Very Happy

I always have a better click through using Overture...
and more sales as well.

My Overture bid: 0,35
my goclick bid: 0,06 (same ad)

Are the people different who use 7search, goclick or Findwhat?

Hi Tomas

Look at it like this. Who on earth would use 7Search or GoClick to find stuff? Obviously, pretty much 100% of people who search use results provided by Google, Inktomi, AltaVista, AllTheWeb and Teoma.

Now, all of the major search engines use free listings plus PPC listings. Therefore, not every click on a search result is paid for. The only clicks that are paid for are from people who are genuinely interested in the ad. This is especially the case at Google because the ads are in a different place.

If you look at Overture, every click costs someone something (pretty much). Therefore, the ROI will almost always be lower. Overture does work quite well mainly because of the results showing on Yahoo, MSN and others.

If you were serious about actually finding something on a search engine, you wouldn't use GoClick, 7Search, FindWhat or any of the others. So, you will often find it's only webmasters that use those search engines. Also, most of those PPC SEs have their results shown on other sites - but the other sites generally aren't very good.

That's how I see it - hope it helps.

Cheers
