I'd like some advice from you guys...

I have a really crappy site I built maybe 3 or 4 years ago with homestead.com called www.paidinternships.com. I have paid very little attention to the site over the last couple years, but kept it b/c I was pulling in some random change from a couple affiliates I have on there.

I typed "paid internships" into google the other day and my site pulled up #1 and #2. I have a resurgance of dedication towards getting this site off the ground now.

Again, I know my site looks like crap, but that's not my question. How can I make money off a site that is geared towards studious college students? I've tried music, games, credit cards, etc. nothing bites buy job affiliate programs and that's not enough money.

Well, go to the directory and look for some affiliate programs geared toward students. I saw several while I was looking around this afternoon - many I would think would appeal to college students. Good luck, by the way!

Calling cards - if they are studious they may still want to call home---or call prospective employers Smile Calling cards have a lower cash outlay so those who cannot afford cell phones, though you could do that too.

If they are studious, then what about Amazon or a book swap service?

Perhaps have a page for each of different topics (philosophy, religion, math, history, literature, french, etc.) and publish reviews of current recommend reads. If you start a newsletter this could become a contest sort of thing, they may already have written these reviews and enjoy the publication, and/or forums for discussion....

In a similar vein what about an area on study techniques, job hunting skills, etc. there are some great books out there on the latter (try Ten Speed Press for one).

Instead of being Google Guy you could be Study Sage Very Happy Laughing
