These are The 8 Best Strategies To Get Your Online Business Exposure And Customers, according to the Florida Times Union.
The internet is a powerful resource because for most of us, the Internet answers our questions. The Internet has become the No. 1 source of reference material used for practically any project of any size. So, if you’d like to be found and chosen by consumers, provide answers!
The following tools are each so powerful in themselves that many businesses that have slightly used even only one have gone on to become ranked on the first page of local search results in the search engines. Make sure all of these are in line, and you’re almost guaranteed success.
The website itself. This is the hub where we will be driving all that traffic from the Internet.
Forums. Get involved with others, discussing your business practices online. (Good job, looks like you’re already doing that!)
Article marketing. You must author and publish articles. It shows that you are the expert, and it's a great tool for directing traffic.
Video marketing. Remember to direct the traffic from the video to your product.
Online directories. Just locate the hundreds of directories, and start listing your business.
Social media. While this might seem like a waste of time, it can be a great traffic generator.
Blogs. Daily entries into your blog can create a following of your expertise.

My favourite strategy I prefer for email marketing. Keeping in touch with customers on a regular basis via email allows you to generate repeat sales which can be up to four times more profitable than the initial purchase.

Have you made your $35,867 yet?
It's easy.

How is listing email marketing, forums, article marketing, etc. a strategy?
My cat was a helluva mouser. He would bring the mice inside sometimes. One day he brought one in to show me his work. I knew that he had been doing his thing.
So I nodded and took the dead mouse back out front and threw it in the bushes.
Next think I know in comes one of our new little Tom Kittens... same old mouse in his mouth. He brought him up to me... I smiled.
Somehow so much of what I read in Forums is from the "Little Toms".

Many affiliate marketers fail in this aspect because they work hard, which all other types of affiliate marketing and business as well as the most important thing is lacking. While it pays to be lucky, you just can not trust him. Affiliate marketing business as simple as directing customers to the site is not.

I think all these are helpful in building an online presence. Understand the motive, since all these too are a tool, so why ignore or neglect it?

I have personally posted over 30 videos on YouTube and must say that one of the videos got me so far in 1-2 years, over 40,000 views.
The others did not even come close.
I guess that if you are going to use free advertising like articles and videos, if you want to succeed in this you have got to get as many of them up as possible and just know that not all of them
will get you clicks.
