Scott,

I just found this forum, so I didn't have the chance to read this thread until now, but I think you could consider keeping your present site and building an SBI site too. It all depends on how much potential there is in the niche you are seeking to serve.

You mentioned that your niche wasn't represented on the net. Have you investigated if there is a market for what you are promoting? There are ways to test that out, and you should, before spending too much more time and money.

If you decide it is worth it, you could build an SBI site with the same or similar theme to generate traffic, and cross-link the sites. A number of people have been very successful using this kind of technique. I also think some of the module SBI comes with could be a real help: Value Exchange makes it easy to share links with other sites with complimentery themes, and there is support for publishing a newsletter and managing a mailing list, including a form to help you get more opt-ins.

I don't know if it's allowed, but I wish you had posted your sites URL so I could take a look at it and give a better opinion based on what you may want to consider doing to make it work better.

If you want, you can send it to me in a private message and I'll take a look and let you know what I think may help (my private messages are set to notify me when I get one).

I have worked with SBI myself and have also studied most of the other materials available and would share with you just to help and get more experience helping people.
