Post subject: Internet speed of my laptop?

I have installed a Router for wireless internet at my home. In order to manage the internet usage, i need to restrict the internet speed of one of the computer's usage in the house. Is there a way to do that? Both computers have been connected with the broadband internet.

I dont believe there is a way to do that, unless you adjust a setting within the network ethernet or router admin panel. I would look inside your router admin area.

Yes softwares are available to limit internet speed. i don't remember it but will definitely find it out

you cant use hardwares like routers restric the internet speed but there is softwares which you can restrict the speed. I cant shout it out because the softwares are not legal to use.. unless you get the permission from your internet provider..

There is a simple way Bro !
go to
run - gpedit.msc - enter
computer conmviguration - enter
Administrative templates - enter
Network - enter
Qos Packet scheduler - enter
Limit reservable bandwidth - enable
now you can make changes in % section
just apply and OK

I don't think there is a possibility of restricting it to just one of the computer from the router.
The only way possible could be if changes are done with in that particular computer.
Did you tried the various suggestions given to see if that worked in your favor?

I think you can find some software in the Internet, I see many software can help you. Ask Google and you will get some, easy. NETLIMITER is a good idea, i have not use it, but my friends used. They said it is good ! Try it

There are many ways to increase ur internet speed. You can defragment the C drive or the default player. And also close the firewall for Microsoft, that really slows down and download it will certainly effect your speed.

Hello. I installed a router in my home for my laptop also but I did not have to slow down the speed on my desktop. Both are pretty fast. May I ask why you want to?

The Maximum Internet Speed is South Korea. PC have better speed than Laptop. PC is fix Electronic Instrument and monitor and CPU are separate. Laptop is all in one keyboards, monitor, mouse and CPU. So PC have speed.
