Once upon a time there was a program known as Adsense that paid far more than any other program of it's kind... in fact nothing else was even close.
But the people of Earth decided to keep looking for the Elusive Mythical Adsense Alternative that paid just like Adsense.
Kontera? Not even!
I've been using Kontera for a while now...I tested it on a site last week.
2,734 36 clicks $1.11
Wow that's a whole 3 cents a click. The best I can pull from Kontera on any niche is about 7 cents a click. And when I get a 7 cent click from Adsense I pull the block!
Nothing pays like Adsense.
But the good news is Kontera can be used with Adsense and really doesn't make much difference to Adsense click through rates.

I agree about adsense. I just put op Kontera ads again and they are pathetic.
I get good CTR but the CPC is beyond terrible.
I have pulled it from sites because the adsense click is 10x as much.

Kontera doesn't bring in much revenue, no, and some people get annoyed by the ad links in the text.
Personally, I don't mind them, and I think I remember to have read about a few people who made a lot of money with them. It's just not my experience.

Try Vibrant Media. I had a site earning $1 a day from Kontera that makes $8 - $12 from Vibrant Media but you need 500k page views though...
