Adsense is closing down - I got a message from them.
You should pick up you earning before it's too late.

gajanaja, Whoa! Slow down. Don't get over-excited.
The AdSense REFERRAL program is shutting down next month. In other words, you won't be able to receive referral payments for referring people to AdSense.
AdSense is NOT closing down.

This is an "old" 2008 topic! Be careful what you read.
It may be beneficial to read the Message Board Use Instructions and create a signature file, etc.

James did you bother to read the posts above yours? Both Allan and the Site Administrator have clearly pointed out that this is NOT an issue.
And YES Google could close down Adsense. The majority of Revenue comes not from Adsense but from ADWORDS.
If at some point in the future they decide (Like Yahoo) that they want to shut down Adsense for Content Publishers and focus on large business partners you could see your own Adsense opportunity go bye bye.
Business is Business and Google will do what is in their own self interests.

I just want to join the discussion here. I think Google will never close down Adsense. Although it is correct to say that Google earns more in Adwords, but indirectly Adsense is helping it. How many websites that are using Adwords to drive traffic to their domains that are using Adsense as their main monetization?
These sites use both Adsense and Adwords so therefore Google is earning from both so they go hand in hand and Google will not close Adsense because of that.

eimroda is correct, Google would lose a lot if they gave up adsense. Its too huge for them to let go now.

For one moment I was like what. Yeah, Google will never do away with Adsense. Adsense is in the core of Google's advertising programs. And I see only enhancements with Adsense.
