Post subject: Very high CTR in Adsense

I've got a small niche website with some graphic ads. The CTR (click through rate) is about 20%. That's right, there were 100 page views last month and 20 clicks (yeah, not much )
In fact, it is a 5-page website dedicated to a specific topic. When people come and read it, they simply click on ads because they are relevant.
Now I'm thinking about replacing these ads with Adsense ads. If the CTR stays the same, will it cause any problems? I mean 20% is very high and google may think that I'm cheating. |

Google only cares that the clicks are legitimate. 20% is a terrific rate. 100 visitors not so much.
My click rates vary all over the place. Some as low as 1 or 2 percent.... some in the 5-10% range.
It is not uncommon to have very high clickthrough rates in very tightly targeted low volume niches.
Google is very good about figuring out what is legit and what is not.
The better question however is how much money you expect to make from 20 clicks vs a single affiliate sale. I'd vote for the affiliate sale if your niche is really that tight. _________________

20% is great and on banners at that I would say 3 to 5 percent is the norm.
Adsense pays well and they have Banner Ads too. Also the search will pay well too _________________ Life is Good,OleTom

Actually the "average" banner click through is much lower than that. I've read several case studies that peg banner clicks closer to one half of one percent. Of course this varies by niche... but most "average" webmasters just throw them in the Sidebars and with no real thought and of course they get the expected return for their efforts. _________________

20% CTR with Adsense is okay as long as they are all legitimate clicks. Mine is 16% and it has been my average for the past 2 years.
About having adsense ads in your site, do not exp[ect for the same CTR since Adsense is going to select for ads it is going to publish in your site and this might affect the relevance of the ads served in your pages so the CTR will be affected. But I still recommend you to use Adsense, it is cool and it is the best there is. _________________ Wealth Creation | Wealth

had a similar concern a few months ago. One of my websites [a 5 page one] suddenly found traffic with an adsense ctr of 75%. worried me but things settled down and I did not get a ban.....yet _________________ Free Marketing Videos
