You have set up realistic goals. May be you can try to
use Adsense filter to increase your income.
Forget about people saying $20k or something. It's
hard to make serious money with adsense.
I also work since one year and I've heard things like you should build 10 sites a month or find 1000 links a month and so on ... from people earning nothing.
Start new websites. Think about tools to optimize your work. That's how you will be able to make $1000 with 2 hours. |

You can make more money if you have targetted traffic. This means, you will have to rank high in the SEs for your keyword. Try backlinks, do more content, add more pages. You will then get more impressions, higher CTR and eventually higher earnings.
