I think this is very discouraging post from your side. Completely disagree.

Traffic is far more better than page ranking, so I agree with you on this one, but SEO is also relevant in having a lot of traffics..

Only if SEO were this easy. Well, not really, then everybody and their mother would be doing it.

SEO doesn't cost any money if your willing to put some time into it. Also, it adds a great amount of value. And in order to sell you must offer value. The more wide spread your value is the better.

Doing SEO doesn't have to cost a lot of money, it could only cost a lot of time, it is when you don't have such time for it that you can others to do it for you.

The thing with SEO is that it's an ongoing process. It's not just something you can do once and forget about. It's about maintaining and staying consistent. Once you make it to the top, you must find ways to stay at the top!
Many people have skyrocketed to the top of the search engines only to find themselves crashing down just as fast as they arrived. This SEO thing is a very competitive playing field; it's survival of the fittest that consistent dominate the Top 10 or 20 search results for hot keywords.
So the thing is, you must contantly create good key-word focused content, constantly build quality backlinks, constantly seacrh for hot new keywords in you market, etc.. etc..! Once you do this then Rinse & Repeat!
Like I said it's a never-ending cycle, but oh well that the World of the Internet Marketing Jungle. 
Although the free organic traffic from SEO is a Beautiful thing, you best not rely on this source solely. It's good to have a marketing mix that uses other ways to generate traffic rather than just relying on SEO.

Hi All
Yes i totally agree, SEO is a ongoing issue, costly and time consuming... never stops and is a longterm strategy.
Also don't forget that you don't want to have just a business plan that depends on traffic from Google (SEO)
as soon as Google decides to change it's algorythm you are '......'! Start from scratch and as soon Google changes it's algorytm again, thewhole process repeats itself.
Much better to build a business that is not dependend on factors you can't control... so many ways to get traffic besides Google and SEO

SEO really takes a lot of hard work and patience. It can be very boring at times but if you really are determined to achieve great outcomes, then I suggest that you do SEO methods regularly. You can do it yourself if you are out of budget but if you have the bucks, then you can hire somebody to do it for you.

SEO gives good result for longer period of time. If you are advertising via Newspaper, Email or Online marketing it will give you the benefit for shorter period of time.
