Hey Cara,
You get a code from Google that you put in your HTML.
Go to your WordPress dashboard, and edit your theme from there, or you can do it directly on your computer and FTP the changed theme to your site.
Google pay you either by check or directly to your bank account.
There's much more to it than than, of course, but books have been written about AdSense, and I would recommend that you read at least one or two. Joel Comm has written a classic book that made me earn ten times as much as earlier.

Just upload a theme that accept ad and put your adsense code to those section
