Post subject: Help me with Restoring my Wordpress Site
|
|
|
I need help. I need help with restoring my wordpress site. The upload_max_filesize directive in php.ini which my web hosting provider allows is 2mb and my wordpress restore file is 6.5 mb. I have been trying to restore my wordpress from myphpadmin but i keep getting this error "You attempted to load file with unsupported compression (application/zip). Either support for it is not implemented or disabled by your configuration."
Does anyone know what i can do to fix it? _________________ Health and Fitness Blog

There really isn't anything you can do without your hosts help.
Unfortunately most people don't really find out how good their hosting is until they need to do something that is blocked or unavailable.
Your best bet is to simply send an email to your hosts support and tell them what you need to do. Often they will just do it for you. Hosts set limits to keep things running smoothly.
I've not encountered problems with the hosts I use when I explain what I want to do. Most will do it for you because it's easier and faster for them. _________________

bigmodo,
But you do have a backup file for your site, don't you?
I recently lost and got my blog back using a backup, could that experience help you? _________________ Jose Perez
