If you have an excellent link structure to your homepage (good anchor texts coming from blog links, article sites, high PR sites reciprocal links etc)

Ie there is some Excellent link juice coming to the homepage..

what typical content should the content on this homepage be(for SEO benefits)? - an article which has keywords based on the anchor texts of the incoming links?

and, if the content of this homepage is poor, then if the hompage points to 10 other sub pages....which have good content, does that affect the Link juice coming to them 10 pages?

ie, does poor content on home page compared to Excellent content on the home page Affect the link juice going out to the external 10 Pages on the site?
