Hi All,
Hope this is the right place to post this query.
I have adsense ad in my website and now I am running a campaign in adwords for promoting SBI, for safer side I have removed adsense ads from that particular page; Do I really need to do that? Google going to cancel my adsense account if visitors came from adwords campaign and click on adsens ad?
Kindly revert

Hi Shaon,
Just out of curiosity, why would you drive traffic with PPC and then try and convert that traffic into revenue with CPC? That model will generally lose you a lot of money.
I think you need to determine which one is more important to keep. AdWords is not the only way to drive traffic, and AdSense is not the only way to monetize it. I would suggest you either drive traffic with alternative methods and keep the CPC ads, or find a high converting, higher payout product to sell and drive traffic with PPC.
Either way, if you plan to engage in AdWords do your research... Look into long-tail keywords and the 80/20 model so you can get the traffic and save on clicks
Hope this gives you some food for thought - do you need the both, and why will it benefit you more than alternatives? _________________ "A revolution in affiliate marketing" - LocalAffiliateProgram.com |

Hi,
Thanks for your reply. I think my question was not clear;
I wanted to promote a product through adwords, this is not for getting traffic to my website and my intention was to create a landing page in my website for that particular product. So do I need to remove adwords from that landing page? because I read somewhere that Google will cancel adsense account if we get paid traffic.
Hope now its clear.

Hey Shaon,
Thanks for clarifying your point, but I still think the overall picture needs to change. The objective of a landing page is to provide focus, clear information and a clear (generally single) call-to-action.
In order to make your landing page as effective as possible you would want to avoid any outside stimulation (like outside ads, excessive navigation, or anything unrelated to your products' sale).
To answer your question, the AdSense TOS is certainly in favor of you removing those ads on the landing page - but it's in your favor as well.
If you really want to sell your product then you'll want to maximize the potential right? If you pay 1$ for a visitor then wouldn't you want them to really pay attention to your sales pitch - or risk loosing a potential sale for a "Loss" on your adsense ads.
Good luck Shaon - I highly recommend reading some copywriting articles as they really helped me wrap my mind around psychological behavior and how to access it as a tool.

Why don't you do the smart thing and ask Google and not strangers in a Forum.
Arbitrage is still in play ... it's up to you if you want to risk your account or not. _________________
