Hi all,
Can anyone tell me of any free (without trial periods) HTML editors, I am using Kompozer but looking out for something perhaps a bit better.
I am still on a bottom of the barrel budget.

The 'free-est' is the one on your computer: notepad for a PC, I don't know for the Mac.
Google should give you a lot of results. PSPad and Notepad++ are two, the latter from SourceForge, I think, and quite popular. There's no shortage, some very basic, others pretty sophisticated.
Hope you've solved your problem before now; I just answered you because I saw that your post was old and no one had answered you. _________________ Jo

Hi
There's a free trial of Microsoft Expression Web 2
http://www.microsoft.com/expression/products/overview.aspx?key=web
I use this a lot and it's very user friendly. Much like Dreamweaver but I find it easier to understand and use.
I also use Kompozer and it is great - probably the best free editor available.
Good Luck!

Totally free html editors:
Kompozer
kompozer.net
Totally free graphic programs:
GIMP: free and accepts photoshop files
gimp.org
Both have a learning curve, but are literally open source and free. great programs. not free trials. no ads, nothing but program! _________________ eCoverSource.com: eCover and Minisite design, re-branding of PLR products,Kunaki design, etc.

True i did miss his comment on komposer, yet I took the time to respond with legitimate input vs sarcasm. _________________ eCoverSource.com: eCover and Minisite design, re-branding of PLR products,Kunaki design, etc.

Since you're using Komposer, you probably know about NVU.
Open Office has an integrated web editor...but I wouldn't say it's any better...I guess it depends on your preference.
An advanced one that I like is called HTML Kit. _________________ Charles Amith
