Post subject: What irritates you most about blogs?

Nearly 90% of all blogs I go to don't have simple navigation. By simple, I mean a normal horizontal main nav bar on each page, plus a LEFT nav bar with simple section structure. What's with this RIGHT side bar nonsense and then nothing structured into sections - just a long list of muddled content?
Also, I am fed up of scrolling for information - it's a constant scroll to find a 'post' you're interested in, only to get completely lost. Most don't have a breadcrumb/site map and I just end up very frustrated.
Blogs rarely seem to say what they do, or even worse are so cluttered with posts, archive posts, recent posts, news posts etc., that I have to go elsewhere.
For me, my readers come first. I want them to come to my site with a question in mind and take 2 clicks to get to the information they need. Period. Why do bloggers want to lose their readers by following what seems to be some new fancy layout trend?
Surely you can have a 'sticky' site, but not have to turn it into one of these 'modern blogs'?

I guess I don't spend too much time reading other people's blogs, but I do agree, that at times, the navigation is bad. If what you are seeing on other blogs bothers you, I would suggest taking a different approach to your own blog - make it everything that the other blogs are not!

I think it's the nature of the blog. I'm a blogger myself and I recognize those faults you're mentioning in mine.
Getagrip has got a point, I'll try and incorporate some improvements based on your suggestion about a section structure and the other complaints.

I dont spend much time reading others blogs unless its important to me. in some personal blogs they have it the way they want. business blogs are the one which are pretty much simpler.
any how as others said if you dont like the way others have it, have your own. simple as that!

What irritates me most about blogs are those that have poorly written and irrelevant content. Somehow a lot of people think that because they are writing web content and not print content grammar and syntax are obscolete. This is not true. Also, when I come across a blog that has so many ads that the page barely loads I exit immediately. I cant deal with overkill.

I don't read other people's blog but it irritates me when I hear complains about blog content theft for product promotion. It is really annoying!

For me it is a few things like:
Not enough content
No picture of the person who owns that blog
Too many programs and no articles
These are what every blog should have.

The lack of proper content, so many blogs are just for adsense and that is just stupid. Nobody will bookmark or remember their site if there is nothing else but ads.
Another thing that annoys me very much are the spam comments like "good site", "very helpful" and so on
