Any experiences with Twitter Marketing that you'd like to share?
Right now I am focusing on developing a script for viral tweets and just finished an ebook on Twitter Marketing that I give away for free. I had opened a Twitter account and forgot about it.
Then I checked it and had some 1800 followers so, in the last month or so I started playing around with it and now I have about 4500 followers, cautiously increasing the number without adding too many per day. I want the adds to look natural. However, there are far too many people posting aff links on Twitter and I think that perhaps Twitter users are becoming link blind and avoid "bad areas" of Twitter.
I also have a free Twitter Adder software that I'm giving away. I use it to solicit 50-100 users a day and it works great.
What are your experiences with Twitter so far? _________________ http://twittersender.com

Hi random, Thanks for the numbers, but you didn't mention revenue. Are you generating useful revenue from those followers? If so, how much time has been involved?
I'm a Twitter skeptic becoming a Twitter beginner after working hard to get my username back from a fraudster.

| I think, to master twitter, you just have to give it time and patience. but it takes persistence and consistancy for twitter success. |

I think it's true that many people on Twitter have developed 'blindness' to affiliate advertising and promotion.
I think if you use it just to add your article & blog links etc, you probably won't be successful with it.
My theory is that you have to get in there and use it the way it was meant to be used - as a social tool. Join in conversations that interest you, exchange banter with your favourite followers, and most of the time don't try and push your business. I think you are far more likely to have people clicking your links on your home page this way.
I have several businesses, and I find it more useful to promote my genealogy site on there - this is quite a popular Twitter topic, and people are not sceptical about it as they are about making money programs.
Food for thought.

These are exactly my words which i wanted to say. Twitter did work for me but not much. Its just like any other tool. Facebook is much better and even mixx works really quite well.

I too agree that Twitter did not work for me. I also have had much more success working with facebook. Personally, I think Facebook is a much more powerful social network which makes it a better resource for affiliates. _________________ Rx-Commission.com - Up to 60%; FULL range of products; Weekly payouts. |

In the beginning it didn't seem worth while, but now I'm beginning to see some results. Got a couple subscribers when I started. Sweet. _________________ Easy To Do Niche Affiliate Marketing |

I agree with Ros that most twitters just post their articles and blog links with very little interaction with their followers. As a social forum, you gain very little in so doing.
