Post subject: Is a competitive niche like real estate for ... ?
|
|
|
Hello,
Waheed Afolabi (afowals) here ...
I am completely new to affiliate marketing and I new nothing about it a month ago until coming across this site while trying to get income in an ethical way.
From this site, I downloaded "Affiliate Masters Course" by Ken Evoy. And I am really interested in this form of earning.
However, due to what I like to do i.e. studying, I have always loved real estate and so I thought of building my biz around this competitive niche.
I got to its competition by the method Jay Stockwell proposed in his article "...$1000 monthly"
Do anyone think this is advisable for a newbie like me, who for now cannot afford to pay for a good biz builder like SBI!, to go into that now?
I don't even have a website yet. Can it work out?
Thanks alot for your anticipated concerned reply on this.

Hi Waheed
And congrats first off on getting in to this business
The sky really is the limit. Your success is largely determined by you. How hard you are willing to work to make your business thrive
You can build a website using a free HTML editor.
Free HTML editors has a review of the more popular editors
You may decide to build a website requiring you to pay for a domain name [about $6 a month for a dot com domain name] and hosting account [about $5 to 20 a month] This is the best way to go because everything is under your control
If you want to test things out then perhaps a free blogging platform like blogger is the way to go
Video on Building a blogger blog at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KB2NcN9gBMw
The niche you want to go into is competitive but I would advice that if you are serious about this business then go for it.
because it is a niche you are passionate about, the work involved will be easier on you
Good luck _________________ Free Marketing Videos

Real estate is a good niche. To avoid the competition select a sub-niche in the real estate niche (i.e. Real estate in London, Real estate in Turkey etc)
Then look for affiliate sites to promote. _________________ Affiliates.. Over Million Searches a month. Only One Product is Available. Do you want to Promote it and Earn Money? Visit http://www.thatsdubai.com/dubai-affiliate.html |

UG is refering to long tail keywords. Works for some and is aneasier method to enter niche, but i think that if you are willing to work hard at it and are truly motivated, then go for the real money making subniches of real estate.
Real estate as a keyword does not reveal an intention to buy.
Available real estate in wherever reveals a greater interest in the niche
Or how to determine the value of real estate _________________ Free Marketing Videos

Afowals, I started out by looking for ways to run a site without spending a lot of money, so it can be done (lots of good ideas already posted).
The key is to find your niche in real estate, otherwise you'll spend a lot of time learning without making much in return.
One good way to get started (there are others, but this relatively simple) is is with article marketing, it can be done for free and you can at least get started while you learn more - then you can reinvest your earnings back into your business.
There are lots of affiliate programs (realtors, mortgages, flipping courses, etc) that you can start with. Pick one and take action!

You can have it if you want. You don't have to plunge on the main topics though but you can go through the micro niches inside the main topic to be very successful and to fully give the perfect product for those who are looking for. Then write articles about them saying the good things about the product. _________________ RUSH Delivery Within 24-48 Hours!

Great and Congrats for taking the first step.
You can create a free website at Weebly and later register a domain there as well.
I would start by drilling down this niche into subs.
Look for questions people are asking in your niche.
Maybe, with tough times in the real estate market you can target both people who need to sell their home or people on the brink of foreclosure.
Maybe real estate agents that need to generate more leads for their biz.
Use Google insight for search to find out what keywords and topics people are currently searching for.
Take action frequently and exploit all you avenues. _________________ Wealthy Affiliate Review & $1 Trial Offer |

Just because a niche is very competitive does not mean that you can not make money in it. In fact the opposite is true.
If a niche is highly competitive, then that usually means that a lot of people are making money in it. This is a good thing.
You just need to find the ones that are making money, look at what they are doing, and find ways to do it better.
Good Luck,

Congrats on taking the first step by looking for help! This forum is full of people that are willing to help you.
My advice would be to do as others have said and find a sub-niche. Second I'd suggest you pick 1 and only 1 business model to attack this with. What I mean buy that is you should either do a web site, do article marketing, do PPC (with I would'nt suggest since a beginner can loss a ton of money at), etc.
It's very easy to get distracted by the next shinny object and run that way, don't do it and stick with one approach. _________________ Make Money Without Getting Out Of Your Lounge Pants!

Congrats and welcome to the world of affiliate marketing. This is a great step and you are in the right place. Allan Gardyne and Ken Evoy are some of the very respected names in this business.
There are lots of avenues where you can start for free. You can start by blogging about your niche on wordpress.com or create a site on wetpaint.com for free. Weebly also allows you to build a site for free.
Real estate is a big niche and you need to narrow it down to a much more focussed area. Assess the demand and go ahead. Once you have the bucks rolling in, you can start investing it back in your business.
