I created a review site for Phonics. and I do not have an email opt in list. Can someone please look at this site and give me feed back on how this might be accomplished and any other advise/input you might have.
Thanks,

Hi Kristen, You could have a newsletter that offers information that your website's visitors are seeking. The closer it is to the topic, the more likely people are to sign up.
For example, "How to help your children succeed at school. FREE newsletter."
"FREE report - How to teach your children phonics."
You definitely don't have to have a newsletter - or long autoresponder sequence - but having one gives you more chances of making a sale and more chances of making repeat sales. Those are two jolly good reasons for having one. _________________ Allan Gardyne

Thanks for the input, that is what I was looking for.
On this subject, of offering a free newletter/ free report, I have read that the opt in box should be placed at the top on the front page. How important is this?
I would like to place box at the bottom, with maybe leads in about Free report at top, middle and through out site.
Any Feedback?.....I seem to like my current layout...

The thinking behind that advice is that many of your visitors won't get any further than the top of your main page, so it's good advice. I recommend you put the opt-in box on every page because collecting emails is vitally important.

Sounds OK to me. Do some tests and see which option gives you the highest number of subscribers.

If it works and achieves sales, stick with it. If it doesn't, don't. _________________ Allan Gardyne
