Here's my first site:

http://alphamale-system.com

I have done advertising on google and article marketing (10 articles on ezinearticles.com)

In the last week, I am averaging:

38 visiters / day
0.7 clicks to vendor's site / day
0.5 subscribers / day
# sales = 0

The traffic is quite targeted since I am using targeted keywords on my google campaigns and am also using 10 targeted ezine articles (all related to becoming alpha male).

So now, my question is why is the conversion so low? 267 visiters in the last week and 0 sales?

I double checked all my links to make sure everything is setup correctly.

I'm starting to think that I chose a bad product for this type of pre-sell page.

Here are the clickbank stats:
$/sale: $26.88 | Future $: - | Total $/sale: $26.88 | %/sale: 75.0% | %refd: 71.0% | grav: 33.23
view pitch page | create HopLink

The product is pretty old, but the clickbank numbers look OK to me.

I do not feel confident spending any more time driving traffic with 0 sales in 267 visiters and such a low CTR to the vendor's site.

Any idea where I went wrong?

ps. It's my first site so I'm not too discouraged. But I really want to learn something from this attempt before moving on.

Cheers,
-Serge

Serge, very competitive category. A few thoughts:

- build on your story. You talk about one man's story, I'd expand more. Include more of your story and review, and a photo, and less of the product's content, which people will see when they visit the product site anyway.

- put some offer near the top and middle. A potential buyer needs to scroll way down to the bottom to order. The free newsletter is buried near the bottom.

Good luck, and keep trying, success often takes a lot of trial and error!
