I have a website with good number of pageviews and clicks on ads, but my problem is that the AdSense keywords related to my contents are very cheap. Roughly I only got 0.02 - 0.08 per click.

Can you suggest any way to earn via ads on my site.

Thank you Very Happy

What you need to do is find an affiliate opportunity that pays you your desired ROI and promote it.

You can't force advertisers to spend more just because you want to make more.

If Adwords payout is low that tells you something about your niche.

I know and agree with you

In fact, I hope to find an alternative paying higher values for alternative types of Ads, e.g. image banners.

I think image banners have higher cost per click, but my problem is that the size of AdSense banners are very limited. I am looking forward for an alternative providing a wider range of banner sizes.

I have been displaying infolinks for a few months and the income is getting close to exceeding my Adsense earnings as they gain more advertisers

Something you may consider.

Find complementary products you can sell from another site. Then create that site and steer your traffic towards it.

For example. Lets say you have a site about Automobile Tires. And they payout is low because people buy tires locally so you have a limited chance to sell online.

But Auto Insurance has a much higher payout because people can buy from anywhere.

So you create a minisite about Auto Insurance then you "steer" your traffic from your tire site to the Auto Insurance site.

This works if you have large volumes of traffic.

Here is an idea for "how to" make this mini site work for you.

Returning to our Tire Site example. How often do people buy tires? About once every couple of years. But how often do they buy insurance? For me I "buy" it every 6 months!

So you take your tire traffic and you "remind" them that they should/could/ get a better deal on their insurance. Afterall most people with tires also need insurance right?

So you get a copy of wordpress (my preference) or whatever software you use. Then you create a subdomain for your insurance site like this.

insurance.mytiresite.com

or you could use a folder "www.mytiresite.com/insurance"

And you set up your site. I like Wordpress because it's quick to install, is ideally suited for article distribution (How many FREE articles are available for Automobile insurance that you could just plug in to your new site?) and is easy to set up ads with... including adsense.

I could set up a small mini site with Wordpress in about 15 minutes including all the plug ins then another hour or two to put the content in it. Make a few graphics and "plant" a few "link seeds" on the tire site and then it's done.

So look at your customer. What brought them to your site? What other products can you offer them that may not be part of your core but are part of the niche?

Marketing is all about creating interest that pulls your target into your offer then gets them to take an action.

Then you SELL. You brought them to your site, what are you going to do to SELL to them.

The better you get at figuring out what you can do to bring in your customers and steer them towards the offers the more money you will make.

Adsense is sometimes a cop out as people make a site and throw it up and just expect to make money.

You still have to create the compelling reason to get them to make that click!

I think Yahoo Publisher Network is the best alternative to Google Adsense

Try using Chitika. It Offers a search-targeted advertising solution to web publishers much like Google Adsense. It also delivers interactive text ads relevant to what your users are searching for. And the good thing is, Chitika ads can be displayed on the same page with Google AdSense ads. Smile

I've heard that Adbrite is pretty good?

Also, you can look at sites like MyBlogAds.com - its like an adserver where you rent out ad space on your site. It pays quite well.
