I've seen it done, although I find it really annoying when I hit "next blog" and a ***-related site comes up. It seems to destroy the credibility of my blog when my visitors hit "next blog" and come across such a blog.

If you have a blog at google and it's 'adult' you just need to go into the settings and check the 'adult' content.
Then, when someone goes to the home page they'll see a age warning and must click through it.

I dont think it should harm your blog if you make some change in settings of your blog dashboard.However when there are lots of other ways to make money available then why are not trying those networks.
