I dont understand why my adwords ads have such poor impressions now. On day one i got over 120,000 impressions. Since then the rate has dropped to less than 1/10th of that even though ive added twice as many ads and increased the keyword list for each ad.

Hi Steve,
Thanks for the tip. I am completely new to affiliate marketing and have joined the forum to learn more. I am also reading some books on the subject before I try to get my site. I read your method and want to do it. As I understand, it goes like this:
1. Look at Yahoo searches to get a theme for a poll.
2. Join CPA networks to get paid for email collected.
3. Run the ad in Google Adwords.
4. Get a landing page. This is where I have a question, can I see a copy of your landing page to get an idea of what it is? How can I create a landing at a reasonable price? Do you know a service?
5. Keyword Selection: Can you explain a bit about this. I donīt understand how it connects to steps 1 - 4. |

The hardest part about learning about the affiliate marketing world is that you never know when someone is genuinely helpful or just trying to sell you some products.
Unfortunately, after purchasing the 45 page guide on this I find it's filled with "recommendations" that, not unexpectedly, contain affiliate links. .
I still love this idea, but maybe I'm just a sucker. |

Post subject: help with FTP uploading
|
|
|
Just hoping perhaps some could shed some light on uploading files to an FTP site - so far I have
1 ) a domain name
2 ) hosting
3) downloaded the SGS package fom Bigfishgames
4) My hosting is by Godaddy
My trouble is that when I get to Gofdaddys FP client page to upload my files - I can pick the SGS . zip file but this is where I get stuck.
The file moves from the left ( box onthe screen ) to the right ( box on the screen ) but nothing happens. I have emailed Godaddy a couple of times and have been told I need an "Index" - i don't know what that is ? Any good FTP tutorials ?

just curious on your keyword research. Are you limiting yourself to a specific number of keywords? and when you use your suggestion tool, do you start with for example,
a famous persons name: rhianna, chris brown ...or do you type in broad terms...if the poll is political, do you type politics, maybe the name of a person in politics?
and second part, have you done polls on the search side?
thanks in advance |

I started with $100 running ads in Google Adwords and some money on a few automation scripts. Other than that, a domain and monthly hosting cost. |
I've never once tried this approach and it is definitely worth my time exploring and I appreciate you sharing the info.
Question - you spent money on automation scripts - what purpose did they serve and do you mind sharing where you purchased them? _________________ Watch & Earn: (16) Professional Affiliate Marketing Training Videos

Guys, I'm sorry for taking so long to reply here. Though I've subscribed to this thread, for so reasons I'm not notified when a reply is posted.

Google Content Network is "theme triggered" not "keyword triggered". So I don't care much about keyword selection. I use KeywordElite. I punch in a few seed keywords into KE and use whatever spit out by the software.

If you need an index file, just create a file using notepad, named it index.html ot index.php, upload to your root. That's it.
I use Filezilla. If you need some FTP tutorial, search "ftp tutorial" in Youtube. You'll get tons of free tutorial.

1. I don't use "broad terms" like politics. Instead I use more targeted keywords like famous person name and related terms.
2. I only use Google Content Network. |

| I have read this idea with interest and I don't understand Adwords. If you are getting a lot of interest and clicks, isn't even 7 cents a lot of money? Maybe someone can explain this to me? Thanks for your help. |

Yes, 7 cents per click IS a lot of money if you're are not turning visitors into buyers.
However, if your average visitor is worth 15 or 20 cents to you, then 7 cents is an absolute bargain.
With any project in which you spend money on advertising, begin very cautiously and be prepared to experiment and learn.
I began my online business by building sites which attract free traffic from search engines. That's an option to consider. _________________ Allan Gardyne

Since this was started nearly six months ago, I would like to know other than Steve, if anyone has had success with the poll method. I am newbie to this forum, so this is my first post--and this is the first thread I read--So I am excited.
Curious if this is working for anyone out there? I would love to jump in and start this tonight---but I am hesitant as I don't see any raving reviews or feedback.
Anyone out there? |
