Hi,

I know that SBI has a built in PPC (Pay Per Click) Bidding and help tool. My Question is this:

Does SBI Have a feature that you can enable so that you can actually track the effectivness of any particular keyword, in your bidding campaign, on any given PPCSE? For example, say my keyword is Dog Food. If I get listed in the 5th spot in overture for that keyword, can SBI track the amount of clicks that certain keyword is getting at Overture? This would be really handy, so people can drop the dead keywords, and get new ones/ optimize the good ones that are already pulling.

Thanks,

Cody

Hi!

Yes, SiteBuildIt does have a link tracker for incoming links - so by using a tracked link in your Overture campaign, you'll be able to check how many clicks you're getting.

I have an SBI site, and I use the tracker links for the opposite, I use them for outbound links to my merchants, to see how well my text links are doing.. www.computer-discounts-guide.com/tdhome points to my site, but the tracker I setup forwards you to my merchant site, and registers that you went in through my tracker link. You would setup the same thing with your "Dog Food" keyword, setup a tracker link for dogfood, and you'd simply point your SE or PPC SE to www.yourdomain.com/dogfood which links to your fabulous Dog Food page.

This is also great for newsletter links, offline ads, advertising campaigns, so you can actually see the effectiveness of your work. I would suggest that you setup differnt links for each different campaign you do though. You don't want all of your campaigns pointing to /dogfood or you won't be able to track the effectiveness each individual ad, you would have /dogfood1, /dogfood2, etc etc, and you would know which ones were performing the best.
