Post subject: Arranging items on a page

i have googled like crazy and can't find how to sort items on my page. the best way i can put this is... When a page has a list of products there is usually a pull down menu at the top and sometimes the choices are sort by: bestsellers, price-high, price-low, ect. do i have to sort this by myself and make a page for each seperate sort or is there an easier way?

I believe a sort such as you describe is a php function, rather than html coding. You might want to look at http://us2.php.net/tut.php, which offers tutorials and info on php. Or, try a search such as sort with php.
Because php is a database-driven language, it should do something like that easily.
Cheers!

When answering, it’s important to keep in mind certain SEO aspects. How many times have you Googled something and seen Yahoo! results? On a side note, I find it incredibly funny how Google views Answers as an authority website…I guess it’s kinda like Fox News; Fair & Balanced. Moving on, just like writing content for a website, your answers will be indexed…and, especially the ones with your links – make sure you’re targeting desired keywords. Every time you answer a question…keep in mind someone could view it 2 years from now.

When you mention sorting on a page, are you trying to sort a list of items when clicked? If so, then it would require PHP / jQuery.
If you want to create a list of sorted items on a page that won't change, that can be done with HTML. |

Hi Rachel,
Not sure if this is what you want -
If you are using WordPress to build your page, you can use the custom "menus" option under "Appearance"
You can also use plugins I think. Do a search
Regards
