Hi,
Can someone explain what pinging is? I know what blogging is. I keep hearing about blogging and pinging but I don't understand what this is.

In a nutshell, whenever you make a new blog post, you need to notify the blog search engines that you just updated.

This will bring additional traffic to your blog, because search engines love fresh content.

Wordpress do this automatically.

Here are some pinging sites:

Great explanation.
Basically, you need to ping manually after each post
if you are using Blogger.
If you are using WordPress, you don't need to do
this. It has been automated.
