The trick of making money with Google Ad sense is to have your own website. If you are an expert on a certain topic, no matter what your topic is, you are going to find great key words.
I hear that a site that is in the top 1% of all the websites out there can get good traffic. There are websites out there that rank at 500,000 that claim their traffic is high.
The key is to find a system where you can build your own website and that it will give you all the tools you need to optimize it properly.
It can be done!

I agree, it is good to have your own website ...versus using some shared site like Hubpages to earn via Adsense.
The earnings on Adsense is lower nowadays compared to the goodol' days and so you need your own site where you get full commissions.
Even having an easy to setup blogger site is okay if you're just getting started. The main point is to get started and continue working on that site. Getting traffic to it will make money.

Simple, hubpages cuts their percentage on you for using their site. While having your own domain can give you full commissions.
I only know other shared one like blogger.com. They give full percentage on your adsense click because it is owned by Google.
