| What can you say about niche storefronts? Are they necessary? Can you recommend any? |

They are far from necessary.
I've setup several of them and it's easier and profitable to create non-niche storefronts.
That's just my opinion. Niche storefronts don't offer original content. Whether you're doing free marketing or paid (ie. Adwords), you'll need to boost the sites uniqueness by adding quality to it (links/content).
Focusing on 1 or a few high converting products is what I suggest.
