Post subject: AdSense Question
|
|

| I joined Adsense last couple days ago. I added only one ads adsense box (includes 4 ads links) in front page. We have over 200 visits a day in my affiliate programs and got only [Deleted. Please read the AdSense rules. You're not aloowed to discuss click-through rates etc.] We have over 135 imressions a day. It doesn't make any sense why it is only [Deleted. Admin.] I thought every click made it count but something did I missing here. Thanks. |

Add it to more pages. The more pages you get, the more impressions, and more clicks (usually) because the ads may change from page to page (they will change more over time as relevancy is determined and tightened on the page by Google).
Since we aren't allowed to discuss stats relating to Adsense, the only thing I can say is that what you are seeing isn't unusual. CTR's range over a vast area of less than 1% to double digits depending on site content and focus, as well as placement, size and colors of the Adsense code.
Also, you can induce clicks to your merchant affiliate but you cannot induce clicks to Adsense(per Adsense requirements) so you may well see a higher CTR on your merchant affiliates than on Adsense. By inducing clicks I mean you can draw more attention to your merchant products and weave their links into your content which can help improve conversion. You can't weave with Adsense, and you can't tell anyone to click the ads presented via the Adsense code ... unless you want to be terminated by Google of course

Treize,
Have you seen Audri and Jim Lanford's about-adsense.com?
The mini course contains various useful tips, as does the site generally.
Hope this helps,

Charlie, I think you meant http://www.about-adsense.com. That is indeed a very helpful site, learned a lot from the course.

Indeed I did, Erwin. Just left my brain in the jar for a moment, there...
Well spotted mate.
Cheers,
Charlie.
P.S. I've edited the message to confuse them even more. _________________ "Before I speak, I have something important to say."

With all you know, Charlie, I can imagine you have to keep your grey stuff in a different place than the rest of us...

Ah, if only we could undo mistakes as easily as this.

Steady, my head's big enough already, that's not the problem!
The trouble I have is remembering the useful stuff, let alone passing it on. Besides, I learn a lot here, too, you know. And often when I least expect to.
Cheers,
Charlie.
P.S. Debs needs a barrel. She has two actually... one for her brain and one for her fan club membership forms.
[It's OK, she knows I love her really.]
