HI Guys,
Here are some tips that I would like to share with Mommies who are looking for ways to help her family on the best that she can be, in becoming a mother, a wife and an entrepreneur at the same time.
When Sushmita Sen became Miss Universe in 1994, she answered that very simple question that made her earn the crown, the question was “What is the essence of a real woman?” “She simply answered the essence of a real woman is being a mother”
Being a mother and an entrepreneur is not easy. Taking good care of your kids and doing something for their future is like doing some circus acts, you need to balance everything out and juggle things at the same time. It is great to be able to educate your kids your way, to participate on their most important moments, and at the same time being able to provide everything they need, without having to leave your home. This is something that most women dream about, but this requires true desire and commitment.
You have to program yourself for new tasks like making phone calls, answering your prospects’ questions, attending conference calls and webinars, helping and supporting your team members and most important, helping others to realize they have other options, not just the 9-5 job routine.
Whew! That’s a Mom-Preneur life.
Here are some useful tips that I’m going to share with Moms already working from home and the ones that are looking into it.
a.) Manage time appropriately – Time management is very important for working mothers, every task should be put into schedule, so that no time will be wasted in balancing time with kids, husband and business, that a time spent wisely is a time converted into money.
b.) Make a list every night with the tasks you want to accomplish for the next day. This way you won’t waste your time trying to figure out what to do for that particular day. List your priorities accordingly and in an orderly manner. Try not to include more than 8 tasks, so you don’t feel overwhelmed or frustrated. You should always have enough time for everything you choose to do on any given day.
c.) Don’t be harsh on yourself. Give yourself some flexibility and be patient. You are going to go thru a learning curve. A process of adding more tasks into your daily routine. Try to provide quality time for your family, while learning the ropes of your new business.
d.) Do not procrastinate. Sometimes we try to leave things for later, either because we don’t know how to do it, or because we think we don’t have the time. Do not fall for this trap and don’t buy your own excuses. Some people are too perfectionists and want to wait until every little aspect of their business is perfect, until then, they are not generating any money. Don’t think too much, and just do what you have to do! It is well known that excitement on fire is better than knowledge on ice.
e.) As soon as your budget allows it, hire somebody to help you out with your house errands. Use your time wisely, work on your business and delegate some of the house work to somebody else. At some point, you will be able to generate more money working on your business than using your time for housekeeping.
It is all about finding your purpose in life. You can be a great business owner and a great mom as well, if you choose to do so. Organize yourself and work your business with passion and think about all the other Moms you will be able to help in the process. _________________ Stop chasing your prospects and get your Prospects to Call You! |
