Post subject: Do I need a Super Affiliate
|
|
|
I made calculation for you ..
- Supose, I sell my book at a price of USD 149,-.
- And must pay 50%, USD 75,-. to a (Super) Affiliate each time I sell a book.
- Supose, we sell 3.000 books.
- That makes me pay the (Super) Affiliate USD 250.000
The question is .... Can I sell 3.000 books for that kind of money with a good online strategy (and I am sure it is good).
What do you think? |

Do you mean each time she/he sells a book? If they sell all 3,000, then that is 3,000 sales that you would not have had without them. Worth the $2500,00 I'd say

If you can sell 3.000 books yourself, then you would not be paying an affiliate anything. Why not do both?
All the best,

Hello everyone.
Please note the figures in this post are examples only, and not necessarily what you should expect...

Firstly, who says you must offer affiliates 50%? With a price in this range, there is potential for good $/click if you can achieve a decent sales page CR. For example $1.49 for 1% CR. This allows you to buy more than decent PPC traffic.

Working with that benchmark 1% sales page CR (decent for something of this price), you will need to get 300,000 people to read your sales letter to generate 3000 sales.
What click through rate shall we pick? 10% (somewhat out of the air)? That would mean 3,000,000 people (targeted traffic) will need to read your ad containing the link to the sales page.
Without some serious affiliate partners (with good reader relationships to help the conversions as well as access to large traffic streams), you are going to take a while generating that amount of targeted traffic.
It's possible, but it's ambitious, I'd say.
Having said that, even if you only sell a fraction of the hoped-for 3000 copies, it's still nothing to be sneezed at.
Just my opinion,
Charlie.
P.S. | Quote: | | - That makes me pay the (Super) Affiliate USD 250.000 |
I make it 225,000 (ish) actually - but what's 25,000 between friends? _________________ "Before I speak, I have something important to say."
