I found the thread about the burns index to be very interesting. Unfortunately being that it's over 3 years old many of the links, including the original article site is no longer valid.
Is the Burns Index still a valid measure of vulnerable keywords? Also does anyone know where to find the original article these days?
It seems to have been a very vibrant discussion at the time and I was hoping to read the original article that sparked the discussion, but the web site is no longer valid.
If you happen to know where I can find the original article I would greatly appreciate it.
Dear DebtFreeMe, you have come across an interesting anomaly in internet and space (I'm getting all X-filed here). Sean Burn had published an ebook and had a website and forum and everything that goes with it. Book was on Clickbank and affiliates promoted it.
Searching Sean Burn returns references to a writer/performer, but lazy as I am, I'm not going to follow through. Is it the same guy living another life, or what has happened. Now How is it that person like Sean Burn can disappear so completely (completely in a sense that nothing suitable doesn't come up within 10 first results in Google)?
Wayback machine does return original content from this domain, including newsletters, which is Newsletter #56. I could give you a link, but instead I give you a task, let's see how much you want to read the article. By the way, it is REALLY good.
Go to wayback machine and enter webmastersreference.com and then choose eg. Feb. 2005. Now top navigation has Free Marketing Newsletter link and that particular page has Archives link on the bottom. Then you have a list of newsletters and #56 is on it.

Ages ago, I phoned Sean Burns to find out why his book was no longer available. He'd been having health problems. _________________ Allan Gardyne

I was afraid that something might have happened in Sean's life to result this disappearance. Must have been quite sudden, because all services have just stopped.
There was awful lot of ground work done for the website. I went through some content while looking for that newsletter and much of the marketing information is still valid.
If nothing else one can learn from this to focus on important information and leave current issues bit on the background. Working like this would result into evergreen website that could be used long into future or passed/sold further. _________________ http://www.ourdreamplan.com/
