Does anyone have any experience with the auto-responder GetResonse Pro?
If so, do you think it's a useful tool?
A $145/year subscription does not appear to be a very good investment when there are so many mailing list scripts out there for much smaller flat fees. _________________ http://www.enterprisedigital.net |

As far as fees go, $145 a year (about $12 a month) is much cheaper than a lot of the highly recommended services like aweber which run around $19 or so a month.
If they offer the same services, and quality, they would be worth considering. I don't use them, or others, but do keep in mind you get what you pay for in most cases. _________________ Learn how to turn keyphrases into quality, well-targeted articles your visitors and SE's will love with Gary Antosh's new ebook "Web Content Made Easy!" |

You have to factor in the point about spam allegations. If you use a third party service like GetResponse or Aweber you have more protection (and less work) for a price.
Considering the new (somewhat draconian) anti-spam laws that are being brought in, the goalposts are changing, and $145 might turn out to be a fee very much worth paying.
Hope this helps,
Charlie.
P.S. If you search the forum there are various threads covering own script and third party list handling. _________________ "Before I speak, I have something important to say."

Here is a good article outlining what marketers need to do to comply with the new U.S. Federal CAN Spam law:
