Hi everyone, I know that this has probably been answered elsewhere but struggle to hide the affilitae link codes. A friend gave me a bot of code that will do it but I keep messing it up. I like Clix Galore because they do it for you but there are plenty of good programs that I wan to use and they don't hide it.

Unless you are in the business of selling to other affiliates, I really wouldn't worry about it too much. Most lay people (those that do not do affiliate marketing), wouldn't recognize an affiliate link.
If your desire is to just "clean them up" so they look nicer, Google "hide affiliate links" and you will find a number of methods for cloaking your links.
A few years back I purchased a little program called Affiliate Cloner. It works great to hide and clean up your links. I have been using it ever since. It is still available, but it costs $49 and change.

Don't worry about it until you have developed some real traffic.
You may do more harm than good.
Most people don't realize that most Affiliate Cloakers just FRAME the affiliate code.
Internet Explorer will kill any cookie that is contained within the frame.
There are very few Link Cloakers that actually work.
You can also use your .htaccess file to hide the code. _________________ FREE SEO and Keyword Suggestion Tools

My website is hosted with Global Domains International and I utilize domain forwarding to
beat the issue of showing my affiliate links. My click tracker has a link though. I will be changing that as well eventually. _________________ **Get Your Free Invitation!**

Well I'm wondering if you want to completely HIDE your link so that it doesn't show up at all in the browser window of the landing page the you're referring your visitors to. Or do you just want use a simple 'redirect' tool where you hide/ shorten your link on the initial click - and then when it redirects to the landing page your regular affiliate URL will be present in the browser window?
There's actually a few things you could do:
1.) For starters you can use a popular link cloaker like the one at TinyURL.com. This is a good one if you just want to shorten a long affiliate link and simply 'redirect' it to your affiliate landing page.
2.) You could completely hide/ cloak your affiliate link with more advanced services. There are better more advanced tools that are suitable for this option. If you want to discuss those further we can talk directly about options best for your current situation & marketing methods.
3.) You could also just use in-content text links where your affiliate link now becomes a 'clickable word'- which studies have proven is actually a great strategy to induce more people to click on your recommendations. You'll need to know a little HTML or BBC code for this though. It's easy once you get the hang of it! If you don't have a web site, you can buy a domain name pertaining to your product. Then mask and forward it to your link. _________________ 100% Natural and Organic Diet

|
|
One of the first most basic lessones you have to learn in affiliate marketing - especially in the internet marketing/work from home sector - is that people really hate buying a product if they know that you are going to make a nice little slice from the sale
You have to put yourself in their position - never a bad idea actually when it comes to marketing on the internet, as you will make far more sales if you always start from the position of the people you are marketing to!
Now ask yourself the question - if I send you my afiliate link which is going to make me 75% profit if you buy after clicking it - what are you going to do? Are you going to think - "hang about a minute, I'm not making this guy 75% every month - no way!" - well then don't expect other people to either!
As I said this is a pretty basic rule that you MUST always protect your affiliate code. YES its true that not everyone will know what an affiliate code is, but that is getting fewer and fewer. You could be OK if you keep of the "work from home", "make money online", "internet marketing" niches, because some of the other niches where the people you are marketing to are NOT affiliates, they don't always know what an affiliate code is
However I would always suggest that its always good practice to hide your codes in a framed page
Don't fall into the trap of using these kind of rotator or hide my link sites, where there is a frame at the bottom or top of the page from the program. These programs simply wave a very big flag at your potential buyers saying "Hey! I am hiding my affiliate code - did you notice!" - well of course they will notice!
All you have to do is setup a framed page with 2 frames - one at the top and one at the bottom. The top frame is set to ZERO and then the bottom page is where you put your affiliate code. When the page loads the person stays on your website and the hop.clickbank stuff doesnt show up anywhere. Someone might open up your code to view source, but you can add alot of extra code in the page that will move the clickbank code right down to the bottom, so they would have to scroll down a long way to spot it
Another way is doing the same thing - but instead of using the bare clickbank code in your framed page, you use entities for the URL. You might not have come across entities before but every letter or symbol that makes up a URL can actually be replaced by an entity e.g. the letter "h" in http can be represented by the entity 104; - there are also entities for all the other parts of your URL as well. If someone opens your source to find the URL and sees only entities, they will probably give up trying to work it out
A final point however is the clickbank rules to get paid. Most people that avoid your affiliate codes and just buy the product through their own nickname, will never actuallt get paid any money. This is because clickbank require you to achieve at least 3 different sales, one of which must be via Visa and one by MasterCard, with any sales via PayPal being irrelevant. So if someone buys a product through their own nickname, but makes no other sales, then they will not actually get any commission from clickbank - their clever trick of avoiding your affiliate code will have been in the end wasted
Even if they do manage to get some more sales - they might still not get paid because clickbank also have a charging system if someone is not making sales every accounting period. If you go several accounting periods without any sales then clickbank start making charges against your commissions, so someone could end up losing all their commission to charges _________________ Affiliate Programs Cash Generator

Another way might be to create a new page on your site, and this page would redirect to the affiliate link.
Wherever you want to use the affiliate link in your offers, just use the url of this new page instead. _________________ Mayank

I sometimes use hopurl.com to shorten, cloak and track affiliate links on my site.
If you are marketing to your list using GetResponse, they can replace your link with their own tracking link, so you don't need to worry about the issue in your newsletter campaigns. _________________ Boost Your Clickbank Profits With These Free Sales Letters: http://grasp-the-nettle.com/clickfree.html
