Hello,
I am wondering if there are any benefits of submitting my blog to blog directories. I know that it is good to submit into major directories, but what about for the rest?

I'd have to say that it's important to submit to the major blog directories, and any others you submit to is just increasing your reach.

I have a question also...Once you've submitted your blog to a directory once is it necessary to submit it ever again?

in normal cases you don't need to. unless you want to update the information you provided while submitting your blog

A friend and I got a site from PR0 to 5 from submitting it to blog directories Very Happy

so yeah, i guess you could say it's worth it...

There are benefits as previous comments state. However, don't go overboard or you might hurt yourself. New blog with lots of links from only directories might get alarm bells ringing at Google. This is especially the case with those bulk directories, which accept just about any application.
