Hi all,

I just read a post of some marketer, who told that he uses exactly the same SEO article content in directory submission, in his blog and finally makes a new webpage out of that.

This raises a question, whether this system leads to dublication and some kind of the punishment from the search engines?

So if we are looking for a good search engine ranking, then only one way is enough, for instance a blog submission - or is it?

Interesting point. Most people would say use any particular content once only - on your blog, or webpage or whatever - but not all. This raises the point of how all the article directories stay in business because they have tons of duplicate content between them but they all are still there and mostly they all rank well. In spite of all the SE's talk of duplicate content penalties the web still seems to contain a heck of a lot of it and I've heard some experts say it doesn't matter as much as some people say.
Be interesting if anyone else has an educated view on this.

Paul

duplicate content work too .. for example same article from article directory is published on 100's of sites and get listed too.

Hello Juhani,

It does get a bit confusing when you see that some people say it's okay to use duplicate content and other people say that you shouldn't use duplicate content.

Although I've seen that using duplicate content can still earn you money on your website, that does not mean that it will always be the case. In the past, I've actually had several websites that were nothing but a collection of reprint articles from article directories. Surprisingly these were very good earners.

On the flip side of the coin I've now chosen to only have 100% unique content on a site that I currently build and promote. When I submit an article to an article directory it is always different than any of the content on my main site. The same is true of any blog posts that I make. There are a few exceptions, of course, I may use the occasional reprint article that is especially well-written if I feel it would be of benefit to my readers.

The results I have experienced in using completely original content have been very encouraging. It is nice to be on the first page of Google for an extremely competitive term. What is even nicer is the boost in targeted traffic that you receive and the earnings from that targeted traffic.

You can always try both methods and see what works best for you. I found at the most efficient way to find out what works best is to test out several different methods. After that then evaluate the results and decide which route you like to take.

All The Best,

Tony
