I have masked my affilate domain name with my domain name I purchased using godaddy's masking feature. but when I mouse over any link on the masked affilaite site ( such as home, contact us, faq, etc..) it displays the actual sites name in the status bar... so my question is how do I hide or change the text on the staus bar to read something else? Thank you

If you're talking about the affiliate MERCHANT'S site, and you're the affiliate, I don't think you can.

Just thinking aloud here... You're trying to control what the visitor sees in his or her browser when visiting someone else's website. To do so, I think you'd need some sort of software actually installed on the visitor's computer which overrode the normal workings of the visitor's browser. I could be wrong, but to solve this problem, I think you'd have to think in terms of predatory advertising or "scumware" for a potential answer - not a nice field to get into.

This is totally different from framing a site and showing a different domain name in the address bar - but some affiliate merchants won't even allow you to do that.

If I've misunderstood the question, please tell me.

What's program you use for affiliate site ? i mean cms like joomla or PHP... You should check your code for sure main domain is your Affiliate domain.

However, You can contact your hosting service to change Affiliate domain to main domain.
