All,
Thanks for the info on the last post.
This time I'm trying to understand a few things about the Amazon.com program.
1. I see in a lot of places that you only get credit if your customer buys the first time they link from your site, but is that just for that one product? What if I have mulitple products and my customer buys both items but on separate trips (linking from my site each time), will I only get credit for the first one? If so I think I will need to find a different book supplier.
2. Is there any time frame at all on the cookie that amazon uses to track the customer, or is it litterally the moment they leave the amazon site without buying the affiliate is out of luck, even if the customer comes back 5 minutes later to actually buy.
Thanks again for the help. Trying to get the details in place before I go live.
When a visitor clicks from your site through to Amazon you have 24 hours for them to buy something from Amazon, after which time the sale will no longer be credited to you.
Unless they click through from your site again - in which case the 24 hours starts again.
